The 2018 Idaho Preparedness Expo in Rigby, Idaho will help citizens prepare for emergencies. There will be over 20 emergency preparation classes during four separate time blocks. These classes will include featured representatives from organizations such as the Red Cross, Idaho Office of Emergency Management, and many more.
Included in the fair are educational booths and vendors with everything from hand operated water well pumps to natural herbs and remedies. Madison Fire Station, and CERT have training assimilation for kids and adults during emergencies, and practice acting with fire extinguishers on a fire.
Over 7 thousand dollars are given in door prizes. These prizes are funded by Jefferson County’s All Hazards Preparedness FEMA grant, Madison Memorial Hospital, and our sponsors. Then each of the educational booths and vendors are invited to bring a door prize.
Our goal is to education and help over 2,000 citizens in our community. The organizers, Madison Memorial Hospital, & Jefferson County Emergency Management are grateful for each individual that chose to participate and engage in personal preparedness through the Expo. A special thanks to the partners that came and taught classes, and the educational & vendor booths throughout the fair.
